Kampong Bahru Bus Terminal opens and other updates
The new Kampong Bahru Bus Terminal along Spooner Road opens today and it will replace the New Bridge Road Bus Terminal. This is to facilitate the expansion of SGH where the New Bridge Road Bus Terminal currently sits on.
Existing bus services will move to the new terminal.
All 12 bus services currently operating from the New Bridge Road Bus Terminal – 2, 12, 12e, 54, 120, 121, 122, 174, 174e, 190, CT8 and CT18, will be available at the new terminal. If you have been taking the buses at the old terminal, all the services except 120 will be available at the bus stops right in front of the old Terminal along Eu Tong Sen Street and New Bridge Road.
The announcements of the affected bus services by the various bus companies:
Route Amendment to Bus Service 61
Due to permanent closure of one section of Tanglin Halt Road, Service 61 will be amended to ply Commonwealth Avenue in the direction towards Queensway. It will call at three additional stops including Commonwealth MRT Station. The first bus timing from Bukit Batok Bus Interchange will also be brought forward to 5.20am daily.
